Palm Beach Metabolic Care

Questions

Common Questions

Is this handled by a chatbot?

No. Every medical decision is made by a licensed clinician. The portal helps you track progress and stay in contact with your care team between visits, but it never makes clinical decisions and never adjusts a dose.

Will I speak directly with a clinician?

Yes. You are evaluated by a physician or a member of the clinical team at Plastic Surgery of Palm Beach, whether you are seen in person or supported online.

Is medication guaranteed?

No. Prescription medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate, and that determination requires a consultation. Some patients are not candidates for GLP-1 therapy, and that is a clinical judgement rather than a membership question.

Can I be seen in person?

Yes. In-person care is available at our West Palm Beach and Wellington offices. You can also combine in-person visits with online support between them.

What happens after I submit a consultation request?

A member of our team contacts you to answer questions and arrange your consultation. Nothing is prescribed and no membership begins until after you have been evaluated.

How is my health information protected?

Your information is stored securely and is visible only to you and your care team. We do not use advertising trackers on the patient portal, and we never sell patient information.

What GLP-1 medications are available?

Commonly used options include semaglutide and tirzepatide. Which medication is appropriate — if any — is determined by your clinician based on your history, other medications, and eligibility.

Is the membership fee covered by insurance?

Insurance handling is being confirmed by the practice. [VERIFY: insurance and coverage language]

How much does medication cost?

Medication is billed separately by your pharmacy and is not included in membership. Cost varies with your pharmacy, your coverage, and any manufacturer savings program you qualify for. [VERIFY: medication cost ranges and savings-program language]

Do I need labs?

Whether labs are needed, and how they are arranged, is being confirmed. [VERIFY: lab process]

Can I do the program online?

Online membership support is available for eligible patients. [VERIFY: online eligibility — Florida residents only?]

Can I cancel my membership?

Membership and cancellation terms are being confirmed. [VERIFY: contract and cancellation terms]

What if I have an existing medical condition?

Tell us at your consultation. Some conditions and some medication combinations make GLP-1 therapy inappropriate, which is exactly what the evaluation is for. Bring a list of everything you currently take.

How do I pay?

Payment is arranged with the practice directly, in office. There is no payment processing in the patient portal or the app.

Individual results vary. All medical treatments carry risks. A consultation is required to determine whether treatment is appropriate. Prescription medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate.
